Web tools and development guides

For convenience in the prototyping the basic layout of a web page, I normally use Macromedia Dreamweaver. Later, I may tweak the page by actually editing the HTML code itself.

Some sites containing information I have found helpful in this process are:

• http://www.htmlhelp.com/: a site developed by the Web Design Group to enable people "to create Web sites that can be used by every person on the Internet, regardless of browser, platform, or settings."
• http://www.microsoft.com/sitebuilder: this site contains a wealth of tools available for free or for a limited time trial which can help in the development of a web sites containing a variety of new features.
