Childhood

I was born in Colombia, South America, the older of two children of missionary parents. We lived in a rural area in central Colombia.

I was home-schooled through high school and I graduated from Mountain View College in Dallas, TX, with an A.A. degree. In August 2004, I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University, in Nacogdoches, Texas, with a degree in Interior Design. One of my final requirements was an internship, which I did at the Cedar Hill Design Center.

For several years I traveled to Honduras with a group from my church. We were able to help in a lot of practical ways after Hurricane Mitch.

I also took a number of pictures. Here is one that I really like.

In Honduras, I got to know a very special man named Jason. We were married in July 2002.
